Words of Wisdom

My most beloved and highly respected teacher acknowledged what the many Muslim youth of these days call themselves:

"I am a MUZHLIM"

Do we apprehend on what has been said?

By observing the word Muzhlim, we will be able to recognise that in Arabic it means the one who causes darkness. The word originates from the verb:

Azh-la-ma (past) ...Yuzh-li-mu (present, future). To create darkness

Are we Muzhlims? Do we cause darkness? NO!

"We are MUSLIMS"(Submissive to Allah)

this word originates from the verb:

As-la-ma (past)....Yus-li-mu (present, future) ------>Tasleeman------> to be obedient Muslimun----> Obedient one

*we must refrain ourselves from changing the words because not only are we changing the words we are changing the meaning and degrading ourselves.
